EXERCISE

The Power of Exercise to Heal Our Bodies & Minds

Walking 30 minutes a day, 5-days a week is all it takes to reduce your risk of cancer.  Studies have shown, regular exercise, reduces breast cancer by 30%, colon cancer by 30%, prostate cancer by 20% and endometrial cancer by 35%.

A new study indicates that if you want to see even better results longer duration and higher intensity exercise matters.  Breast cancer survivors who did about 1 mile per day of brisk-paced walking reduced their risk of dying from breast cancer by 24%.  If they stepped it up a notch and ran for 2/3 of a mile each day they reduced their risk by 40%.

The superstars who ran 2.3 miles per day dropped their risk of recurrence by a whopping 95%

01

Reduce free radicals

Regular exercises helps your body reduce free radicals, an uncharged molecule that can damage cells and lead to irregular mutations.

02

Reduction in
tumor growth factors

Tumor growth factors influence normal cells and promote pathways in cancer cells to grow and mutate.  Exercise counters tumor growth and promotes normal cell differentiation.

03

Reduces insulin resistance

When cells become insulin resistant they can no longer absorb glucose to convert to energy.  Simply put, cells that are exercised function as intended.

04

Turns on anticancer genes

Exercise is proven to help your body fight cancer naturally by engaging your DNA and activating natural cancer fighting genes.

05

Stimulates the
immune system

Your own immune system is what will inevitably help you beat cancer.  The best way to support the fight is to exercise regularly to support your natural cancer fighting ability.
